K800i as second phone

It certainly has been a loooong time since I updated my mobile blog. In the meantime I have traded my first K800i for a Qtek smartphone. However when I renewed my contract I got a HTC Touch so the Qtek became obsolete. So I traded the Qtek with somebody else for a... K800i

This time around it doesn't have the ugly pink T-mobile branding in the place of the cyber-shot logo. The only problem was a simlock which I was able to remove with the help of www.gsmliberty.net for 9 euros instead of the 25 euros unlock stores charge here in Holland. If they are able to unlock it at all.

So now I have two phones: a HTC Touch and a K800i. Between them I have the best of both worlds, good camera and UMTS on the one hand, Windows mobile 6 for email on the other. That should keep me going untill the iPhone becomes available here.

Been a while...

As you see I haven't really been blogging much with my k800i lately. This is due to the fact that I decided to stop my flat fee mobile internet. I traded my MDA pro with someone for a Powerbook G4 so my only online mobile device is my k800i and to be honest. It doesn't provide the mobile internet and email pleasure I expected. After owning 3 different MDA's this k800i is just too small and fiddly. It's a great phone but it's just not my phone. So... I am trying to trade it for a Qtek S200 instead. When I have that I'll reactivate the flat fee internet and start mobile blogging again.

My bike. This afternoon I had written the text to go with this picture while riding my bike, only blogger was unreachable from my phone for some reason. I haven't found the option to save a blogpost for sending at a later time yet. But at least I showed myself it was possible to enter a text while riding my bike. I would like to see non-Dutch people try that!

My other phone...

I use my MDA PRO (or HTC universal, I-mate JasJar, Qtek 9000) for browsing the internet and for writing email when I'm not at home. It's a HUGE thing though so I decided to get the K800i as a normal phone. Combined with the K800i the MDA pro is everything I want.

No photo yesterday. All I did was feel tired from two nights of poker and partying. And playing with my phone ofcourse!

Didn't win anything... Was hoping to end my pokernight with some more money. Would have been nice to win the 30 euros I had to pay for my phone earlier today. Better luck next time.
